The 5th China Human Rights Lawyers Day conference was held on 7 July 2021 (2021.7.09). On the 6th anniversary of the “709 Crackdown” against human rights lawyers in China in 2015, human rights lawyers and defenders continue to be arbitrarily detained and tortured and disappeared. Featured during the conference was a 13-minute video, “The Persecution List” of lawyers who have been detained, disappeared, disbarred, or died. LRWC was among human rights organizations around the world participating in the half-day conference.
