Lisa Barrett has been a social justice activist since her early teens. She’s a director with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and Vancity Credit union and a member of the Policy Council for the Canadian Community Economic Development Network. She’s also a member of the BC Civil Liberties Association and West Coast LEAF (Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund).
She’s served two terms as mayor of her community and as a director of the Greater Vancouver (Metro) Regional District.
Lisa’s a believer in life-long learning and her undergrad studies included politics, economics, journalism, art curation and conflict resolution (court mediation). Her graduate studies have included international and co-operative economics at LSE and U of Bologna. She is presently undertaking her law degree with the U of London International programme.
