Pearl Eliadis | Honorary Board of Directors
Pearl Eliadis (BCL, LLB (McGill), BCL Oxon.) is a lawyer, author and lecturer. Her law practice focuses on human rights, national institutions and democratic governance, working mainly with international and multilateral institutions and civil society organizations. Pearl teaches at McGill’s Faculty of Law and she is affiliated with the McGill Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism. She has numerous publications on human rights and public policy, including the 2014 monograph, Speaking Out on Human Rights, which won the 2015 Huguenot Society of Canada Award. Pearl is president of the Human Rights Committee of the Quebec Bar Association and co- chair of the Canadian Centre for International Justice. She has received several awards for her work, including the Canada 125 Medal, the “Women of distinction” (Fondation de Y) in 2006 and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012. She was named a “Human rights Changemaker” by Equitas in 2017.
