On December 7, 2012 — the 64th anniversary of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights — LRWC, Amnesty International, the BC Civil Liberties Association, Council of Canadians, and the New Media Journalism Program of SFU’s Continuing Studies Program hosted the Day of Dissent. Speakers at the event examined the extent to which the right is acknowledged and protected by Canadian and International law.
