Lawyers’ Rights Watch Canada welcomes the launch of the UN Guidance Note on Protection and Promotion of Civic Space. The Guidance Note affirms the role and responsibility of all UN bodies and agencies in supporting civil society participation, protection of civil society actors from threats and attacks, and promotion of an enabling environment for their work at the national and international levels.
